Meet Our Board Members

Alyssa Hughes, Executive Director

Alyssa Hughes is the founder and Executive Director of the Barefoot Baby Foundation. A Marion resident, business owner, and mom of three, Alyssa is passionate about creating opportunities that bring families together and strengthen community connections. She leads the Foundation’s programs, events, partnerships, and community projects with a simple goal: creating more opportunities for families to slow down, connect, and make memories together.

Matthew Hughes, Treasurer

Matthew Hughes is a husband and father of three barefoot babies. As the co-owner of the lifestyle clothing brand Barefoot Baby, Matt is able to blend his love for the outdoors with his entrepreneurial spirit. In his free time he enjoys working with his hands to build things and take care of the family's homestead. 

Katelyn Stinson, Secretary

Katie is a devoted wife and proud mother to an adventurous baby girl. With a heart for service and community, Katie is passionate about creating inclusive events that bring families together and encourage everyone to enjoy the outdoors. She is an active member of the Marion Rotary Club, and also serves the public through her work with the City of Marion where she continues to help shape a vibrant, welcoming community for all residents. Whether she's organizing an event, working on city initiatives, or soaking up moments with her barefoot baby, Katie brings creativity and dedication to everything she does. 

Cameron Boles, Executive Member

Cameron Boles lives in Marion with his wife and Old Fort native, Laura, and their twins. Cameron is a Certified Financial Planner and Kingdom Advisor and started his Edward Jones office on Main Street in Marion in 2018. He's active in his church, in the community through Rotary and the Gideons International, and is often hiking, biking, ballroom dancing, and playing sports with his family.

Erin Prevost, Board Member

Erin is a follower of Jesus, an Army wife and mama to three little girls who bring endless laughter, curiosity and muddy footprints into her home. She’s happiest with her feet in the grass, flour on her hands or a handicraft project spread across the table. She is passionate about loving her community well and the restorative, joy-filled power of time spent outdoors. Whether traveling the world or canning her harvest and tackling homestead projects, she loves a life filled with creativity, adventure, and simple joys.

Tye Dumas, Board Member

Tye is a devoted husband and father of three energetic children. He is the co-owner of Wildly Made, a family business dedicated to helping people care for the land, support local wildlife, and themselves the right way. Tye is a strong advocate for entrepreneurship and believes deeply in the power of helping others succeed. Whether through business, community involvement, or mentorship, he is passionate about creating opportunities that strengthen individuals, families, and communities.

Oscar and Joyce Creech, Advisors

Oscar and Joyce Creech are longtime community members whose love for Jesus, families, and their community is evident in everything they do. Oscar has spent many years serving as a dedicated board member of the McDowell Trails Association, while both he and Joyce are deeply involved in their church and lovingly considered “grandparents” to many of its families. As Board Advisors, they bring decades of life experience, a heart for service, and a valued perspective that the Barefoot Baby Foundation appreciates dearly.
